The report said TikTok removed more than 188.2 million videos worldwide during the same period, outlining the platform’s content moderation efforts and enforcement actions in Pakistan and across the globe.
Pakistan: 99.7% of Violating Videos Detected Proactively
TikTok reported a video removal rate of 1.1% in Pakistan during the quarter. The platform said it detected and removed 99.7% of the violating videos proactively, while 94.5% were taken down within 24 hours of being posted.
Following further reviews, TikTok restored 519,075 videos in Pakistan.
Globally, automated detection technologies accounted for 99.5% of video removals. The platform restored 6,262,383 videos after further review and removed 92.7% of violating content within 24 hours of posting.

During the second quarter of 2026, TikTok removed 146,807,400 fake accounts worldwide. It also removed an additional 26.8 million accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13.
Sensitive Content Among Major Reasons for Removals
TikTok’s report identified several major categories behind global video removals.
Sensitive or mature themes accounted for 19.5% of removals, followed by mental and behavioural health-related content at 16.1%.
Content involving body exposure and sexualised behaviour represented 13.8% of removed videos, while dangerous activities and challenges accounted for 13.5%. Edited media and AI-generated content (AIGC) made up 1.8% of removals.
