Prominent Pakistani businessman Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain has been reappointed Chairman of the Pakistan–USA Business Council of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), continuing his efforts to strengthen trade and investment ties between Pakistan and the United States.
Hussain has represented Pakistan at national and international business forums and has remained involved in promoting exports, foreign investment, trade facilitation and international business partnerships.
During his previous tenure with the Pakistan–USA Business Council, he advocated stronger engagement between the private sectors of Pakistan and the United States, with a focus on expanding bilateral trade, attracting investment and creating new business opportunities.
Commenting on his reappointment, Hussain said Pakistan’s focus on regional peace, stability, constructive bilateral cooperation and economic development could provide a foundation for stronger commercial engagement with international partners.
“Pakistan–USA economic relations possess enormous potential, and our objective should be to translate this potential into tangible opportunities for businesses, investors, exporters and entrepreneurs in both countries,” he said.

“I will continue to work extensively to strengthen business-to-business relations and develop new avenues for trade and investment between Pakistan and the United States,” he added.
Hussain said the council would focus on bilateral trade, investment, joint ventures, technology cooperation, market access and stronger business-to-business connectivity.
“Our vision is to take Pakistan–USA business relations to new heights and establish stronger, sustainable and mutually beneficial economic partnerships,” he said.
He added that the council would engage with business organisations, investors, trade institutions and other relevant stakeholders in both countries to identify new commercial opportunities.
Hussain highlighted the potential for Pakistani businesses to expand their presence in the US market, particularly in agriculture and horticulture, food processing, information technology, manufacturing, textiles, services and emerging industries.
He also pledged to work with FPCCI, Pakistani trade missions, US business organisations, chambers of commerce and government institutions to facilitate greater commercial interaction and promote Pakistan as a destination for trade and investment.
His reappointment is expected to continue the council’s efforts to strengthen economic ties between Pakistan and the United States while creating new opportunities for businesses in both countries.
