The England star crossed the 15,000-run mark with a single off Eshan Malinga. The achievement moved him past former West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard as the highest run-scorer in T20 cricket.

Buttler has scored his 15,000 T20 runs in 528 matches at an average of 35.46.
He has maintained an impressive strike rate of 147.46. His record also includes nine centuries and 107 half-centuries.
The milestone adds another major achievement to Buttler’s career across domestic and international T20 cricket.

England’s Alex Hales currently ranks third on the all-time T20 run-scoring list.
Hales has scored 14,581 runs in 537 matches.
West Indies legend Chris Gayle follows closely with 14,562 runs in 463 matches.
Australia’s David Warner completes the top five with 14,284 runs in 439 matches.
Buttler’s latest achievement puts him alone at the top of one of T20 cricket’s most prominent statistical lists.
