SI Global Solutions and Dell Technologies have agreed to take their 10-year partnership to the next level through advanced technology solutions and products aimed at supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation.
The commitment was reaffirmed at an event titled “Powering Possibilities Technologies,” attended by partners of both companies.
Speaking at the event, SI Global Solutions CEO Dr Noman A. Said said Pakistan needed to move beyond being primarily a consumer of technology and focus on becoming a developer and exporter of technology.
He stressed that research and development should become a national priority, supported by greater investment as well as procurement policies that provide locally developed technologies with opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities at scale.
Dr Said pointed to countries such as Singapore, which have developed competitive technology ecosystems through sustained investment in research and development, industry collaboration and commercialisation. He also highlighted Malaysia’s procurement mechanisms that give qualified locally developed R&D products greater consideration.

He said Pakistan’s public procurement framework also needed to evolve. Technology, he added, should not always be selected solely on the basis of the lowest price or conventional qualification criteria. Procurement policies should also consider innovation, local intellectual property, R&D investment, cybersecurity, lifecycle value and technology transfer.
Dell Technologies Country Manager Naveed Siraj, speaking as the chief guest, said technology adoption was increasing across Pakistan, while rapid technological advances were making it increasingly important for businesses to select solutions that match their specific requirements.
He emphasised the importance of aligning government policies with technology adoption at the local level to maximise the benefits of emerging technologies and new business models in an increasingly AI-driven economy.
Naveed Siraj said demand for data storage was rising globally and in Pakistan, while artificial intelligence had become increasingly important for processing raw data and converting it into structured information that could support better business decisions.
He said Dell Technologies had operated in Pakistan since 1989 and continued to expand its presence through dedicated partners such as SI Global Solutions.
He added that Dell Technologies was preparing to introduce new solutions, devices and applications in Pakistan, giving businesses and individuals access to globally standardised technology.
