National Assembly discusses Hina Javed murder case and violence against women

Hina Javed Murder: National Assembly Seeks Action Over Rawalpindi Killing

ISLAMABAD: Hina Javed murder case has reached the National Assembly, where lawmakers offered prayers for her and raised concerns over violence against women.

National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq expressed deep concern over the Rawalpindi incident. He assured that parliament would provide all possible support to monitor the case and help the victim’s family seek justice.

The speaker said Hina Javed had previously worked in parliament under a project of the National Information Technology Board (NITB). He described her murder and the wider rise in violence against women as serious concerns.

Ayaz Sadiq praised the Women Parliamentary Caucus for raising the case in the National Assembly. He assured its members that parliament would cooperate in monitoring developments.

The speaker directed the Standing Committee on Human Rights to examine the murder case. He also asked the Standing Committee on Interior to review the incident and assess the relevant aspects of the investigation.

Ayaz Sadiq further directed the law minister to provide the necessary assistance in connection with the case.

The National Assembly also offered a prayer for Hina Javed’s eternal peace. The proceedings highlighted growing concerns over violence against women and the need for stronger institutional attention.

The speaker reiterated parliament’s commitment to supporting the affected family and ensuring that the case receives appropriate oversight.
