Sindh government spokesperson says departments have been directed to resolve citizens’ complaints promptly under the chief minister’s public service agenda.

KARACHI: Chief Minister Complaint Cell reviewed public complaints from across Sindh as Sindh Government Spokesperson Tahseen Abidi chaired a grievance hearing at the Chief Minister House and directed relevant departments to expedite the resolution of citizens’ concerns.

During the session, Abidi examined applications, complaints and public suggestions received from various districts of the province. He contacted the concerned government departments and issued instructions to ensure that pending issues are resolved promptly, effectively and transparently.

Speaking after the meeting, Abidi said the Chief Minister House Complaint Cell has become an important platform for public service and grievance redressal, where citizens’ concerns are addressed on a priority basis through practical and result-oriented measures.

He said Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed all government departments to treat the timely resolution of public complaints as one of the provincial government’s highest priorities and to avoid unnecessary delays in addressing citizens’ issues.

Abidi added that the Sindh government continues to promote transparency, accountability, good governance and efficient public service delivery in line with the public welfare vision of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the party’s leadership.

He said the chief minister has consistently emphasised improving access to essential public services, strengthening institutional accountability and ensuring that every citizen’s concerns are heard and resolved without discrimination.

According to the spokesperson, the Complaint Cell serves as a direct link between the government and the public by forwarding complaints to the relevant departments and monitoring progress until each case is resolved.

He said departments are actively working to address complaints related to healthcare, education, municipal services, sanitation, drainage, clean drinking water, electricity and other essential civic facilities.

Abidi reiterated that the provincial government remains committed to merit, transparency and accountability, adding that negligence or unnecessary delays in resolving public grievances will not be tolerated.

He also encouraged citizens to register their complaints, concerns and suggestions through the Chief Minister House Complaint Cell to help strengthen public trust and improve the delivery of government services across Sindh.
