Musician Oliver Tree associated with a climate-focused Antarctica expedition in 2023.

Oliver Tree: No evidence supports viral Antarctica alien investigation claims

Social media posts have linked the musician to alleged UAP research in Antarctica, but publicly available records point to a short environmental expedition.

Oliver Tree has become the subject of online speculation after viral social media posts claimed he spent 300 days in Antarctica investigating alleged alien bases and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

The claims have circulated widely on X and other platforms, where users have also discussed supposed screenings of an unreleased Antarctica documentary. The posts have fuelled speculation about hidden footage and undisclosed activities on the continent.

However, community fact-checks and user corrections have highlighted major inconsistencies between the rumours and publicly available information about the trip.

According to promotional material released at the time, Oliver Tree travelled to Antarctica as part of a seven-day expedition between 13 and 20 December 2023.

The journey was organised in partnership with Diplo and Insider Expeditions. Organisers described the project as a climate-focused trip that included live performances, wellness activities and documentary filming.

Participants travelled aboard a luxury vessel operating in Antarctic waters. Promotional materials presented the expedition as an environmental awareness initiative rather than a scientific or military investigation.

No credible evidence has emerged to support claims that Tree spent 300 days in Antarctica. There is also no verified documentation linking the expedition to investigations of alien bases, UAP activity or other extraordinary claims.

The rumours gained attention online after a series of unverified posts connected the Antarctica trip to broader conspiracy theories. Fact-checkers and social media users have since pointed to the lack of supporting evidence.

Available records indicate that Tree’s involvement in Antarctica was limited to the publicly announced expedition, and no official sources have reported activities beyond those described by organisers.
