Field Marshal Asim Munir Says Propaganda and Terrorism Cannot Derail Pakistan’s Progress

Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff (COAS), said propaganda, fake news, and externally-sponsored terrorism cannot block Pakistan’s journey toward progress and stability.

He made these remarks during his visit to Quetta, where he met officers and troops deployed in Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

‘Hostile Forces Will Fail,’ Says Army Chief

Field Marshal Asim Munir said hostile forces using proxy groups and propaganda campaigns would fail because of the strength of Pakistan’s institutions and the unity of its people.

He added that Pakistan’s armed forces, with strong public support, remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism in all its forms.

The army chief also discussed the current security situation. He said lasting peace in Balochistan requires security, inclusive development, better governance, and a people-focused approach.

Praise for Balochistan Government and Troops

The military chief praised the efforts of the Balochistan government to improve public welfare, economic growth, and trust between the state and the people.

He also appreciated the high morale, professionalism, and operational readiness of officers and troops serving in the province.

Address at Command and Staff College Quetta

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir addressed faculty members and student officers at the Command and Staff College Quetta.

He praised the institution for maintaining high standards of training, professionalism, and intellectual excellence.

He said graduates of the college continue to deliver exceptional performance and dedication in military service.

Focus on Future Warfare and Technology

The army chief highlighted the changing nature of modern warfare. He stressed the importance of emerging technologies, cyber warfare, drones, artificial intelligence, and multi-domain operations.

He advised officers to continue training themselves and their troops for future battlefield challenges while maintaining high standards of preparedness and operational excellence.

Earlier this month, Field Marshal Munir also stressed the importance of modernization while addressing a “Marka-i-Haq” ceremony. He said future wars would rely heavily on advanced technologies and integrated operations.

Upon his arrival in Quetta, the Quetta Corps Commander received the army chief.
