English County club Yorkshire have signed Karachi Kings fast bowler Hasan Ali for the upcoming Vitality Blast after Naveen-ul-Haq was ruled out with injury.
The English county confirmed that the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) star will join the squad for the T20 competition and will also be available for two County Championship matches against Warwickshire and Leicestershire.
Hasan Ali comes in as a replacement for Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, who will miss his spell with Yorkshire after failing to recover from a stress fracture in his right shoulder.
The 31-year-old brings plenty of experience in the format, having played 57 T20Is for Pakistan and featured in franchise leagues across the world.
He also has a strong record in county cricket. During three separate spells with Warwickshire between 2023 and 2025, Hasan picked up 44 wickets in the Blast at an average of 14.93. He has also previously played red-ball cricket for Lancashire.
Yorkshire expect Hasan to remain available throughout the Blast group stage, giving the side a proven pace option for the competition
Speaking about the signing, Yorkshire’s general manager of cricket Gavin Hamilton said the club was disappointed not to have Naveen available, but described Hasan as an outstanding replacement who brings experience and a skillset that will add real value to the squad.
He added that the club were pleased to secure a player of Hasan’s quality at short notice and are looking forward to welcoming him next month.
