Karachi: Al-Nimra College of Nursing Health and Sciences organized “Sports Gala Season 4” at Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana, featuring a series of competitive events for male and female students.
The event brought together eight boys’ cricket teams, while two girls’ teams competed in cricket, running races, tug-of-war and badminton. Students gathered in large numbers, cheering for their respective teams amid a festive atmosphere marked by drumbeats and applause.
Inauguration and Chief Guest Address
The sports gala was inaugurated by Muhammad Aslam Khan, Founder and Managing Director of the college.
Syed Hafeezuddin, Member of the National Assembly from Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan, attended as the chief guest.
Addressing the participants, he said the youth were the true architects of the nation and that their talent and dedication played a pivotal role in national development. He encouraged students to balance academic excellence with physical fitness and character building.
Promoting Sports and Student Engagement
College administration officials said the Sports Gala aimed to promote healthy competition, teamwork and leadership among students pursuing nursing and health sciences education.
They added that extracurricular activities such as sports were integral to personality development and fostered discipline and unity among students.
The event concluded with prize distribution and appreciation for winning teams, marking another successful edition of the college’s annual sports celebration.
