Security Council necessary to address the
ongoing aggression against the Iran

Istanbul: Pakistan and Algeria have called for stronger coordination within the United Nations Security Council to address the ongoing aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran through peaceful and diplomatic means.
The call came during a bilateral meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Algeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf. The meeting took place in Istanbul on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Call for Political and Peaceful Solutions
Both ministers expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation and emphasized the need for enhanced coordination among Muslim countries. They stressed that the UN Security Council must fulfill its mandate to maintain international peace and security, advocating for a political solution grounded in the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter.
The meeting reflects growing regional support for de-escalation and collaborative diplomacy in response to rising tensions involving Iran.
