Karachi: The 20th edition of the iconic My Karachi – Oasis of Harmony Exhibition, organized by the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), concluded at the Karachi Expo Center with remarkable success, drawing nearly 800,000 visitors over three days. The event highlighted Karachi’s vibrant commercial spirit, cultural diversity, and untapped economic potential, with over 350 stalls by local and international exhibitors.

Next edition announced for February 2026
According to KCCI, the 21st My Karachi Exhibition will be held from February 6 to 8, 2026, continuing the tradition of showcasing Karachi as a hub of harmony and enterprise.

A legacy of peace and progress
First launched in 2004 under the leadership of the late Siraj Kassim Teli, My Karachi has become a flagship event symbolizing peace and prosperity in Pakistan’s commercial capital. This year’s exhibition featured multinational brands, consulates, healthcare institutions, educational organizations, and women entrepreneurs offering discounted products and services between 20% to 50%.

Governor Sindh lauds KCCI, pledges development funds
Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, at the closing ceremony, praised KCCI for organizing a dynamic event. He announced the federal release of Rs. 20 billion for Karachi’s development and suggested a high-level meeting at Governor House to discuss the K-IV water project and the possibility of transferring its execution to the business community for quicker results.

Call for joint efforts and civil award proposal
Governor Tessori stressed the importance of joint federal-provincial collaboration to resolve Karachi’s issues and invited business leaders to work with his office. He also announced plans to recommend a prestigious civil award for Chairman Businessmen Group (BMG) Zubair Motiwala in recognition of his contributions to Karachi’s economy.

CM Murad launches ‘Maarka-e-Haq’ Independence theme
At the exhibition’s inauguration, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah praised KCCI for successfully staging the event and reiterated the Sindh government’s support for the business community. He launched the province’s Independence Day celebrations under the theme Maarka-e-Haq, symbolizing Pakistan’s struggle for justice and unity.

BMG Chairman envisions bigger global role
BMG Chairman Zubair Motiwala revealed that this year’s exhibition hosted seven foreign consulates and over 20 multinational companies. He said the overwhelming public response, including calls to hold the event biannually, reflects its growing impact. Motiwala urged authorities to address Karachi’s water and gas shortages and ensure swift completion of the K-IV project.

KCCI President demands provincial Expo Center
President KCCI Muhammad Jawed Bilwani extended gratitude to stakeholders and praised women entrepreneurs and welfare organizations for their participation. He renewed the call for a provincial-level Expo Center and flagged key challenges such as poor infrastructure, water scarcity, gas shortages, and rising street crime. He called for the immediate expansion of the Safe City Project to enhance security and investor confidence.

More than just a trade fair
From cultural performances and fireworks to policy dialogue and foreign participation, the 20th My Karachi Exhibition proved once again to be more than a marketplace—it was a celebration of Karachi’s resilience, creativity, and economic leadership. KCCI reaffirmed its commitment to growing the event and serving as the voice of Karachi’s business community.
