Zardari meets UAE President to strengthen ties

Abu Dhabi: President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday met His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, to discuss ways to further strengthen the long-standing and brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
The meeting took place during President Zardari’s official visit to the UAE and focused on deepening bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, technology and people-to-people exchanges.
Both leaders reviewed the full spectrum of Pakistan–UAE relations and explored new opportunities to expand economic collaboration and strategic partnership, noting the significant untapped potential between the two countries.
President Zardari highlighted the importance of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s recent visit to Pakistan and expressed appreciation for the UAE’s continued support in strengthening bilateral ties.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments, reaffirming their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability and sustainable development.
President Zardari’s visit, officials said, reflects the enduring friendship between Pakistan and the UAE and the mutual desire to elevate relations to new levels of cooperation.
The meeting was attended by First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, MNA; Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari; Federal Interior and Narcotics Control Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi; and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE.
