Karachi, March 31, 2026 — The Karachi Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR) organized an important seminar on “The Conflict in the Middle East.”
Founded in 2003, KCFR is a think tank committed to advancing Pakistan’s national interests through constructive dialogue and meaningful engagement with the international diplomatic community.


The seminar brought together distinguished diplomats, scholars, and strategic experts to examine the evolving regional landscape and its implications for Pakistan. The discussion also explored potential avenues for de-escalation and the prospects for lasting peace in the Middle East.


The speakers stressed the importance of restraint and dialogue in resolving the crisis. The participants said, “In times of heightened tensions, responsible diplomacy is not only desirable—it is essential for regional stability.”


Experts also emphasized the human dimension of the conflict, stating, “Beyond geopolitical calculations, it is the people who suffer the most. Our solidarity must translate into efforts that promote peace and protect civilians.”


Pakistan’s consistent stance on peaceful coexistence was also highlighted as “Pakistan has always advocated for regional harmony. The session concluded with a shared commitment to continued dialogue, cooperation, and support for all initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and fostering enduring peace in the region.
