The Labaytum Award-winning Sirajia Group hosted a celebratory evening in Karachi to mark its recognition for excellence in Hajj services, awarded by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
The event brought together media representatives, business figures and prominent personalities from Pakistan’s entertainment and sports industries. Organisers described the gathering as a celebration of faith, service and international recognition.
The award honours organisations that demonstrate outstanding performance in facilitating pilgrims during Hajj operations. Sirajia Group received the distinction for its services to pilgrims over recent years.
Sirajia Group hosted the event, which included a meet-and-greet session followed by a formal dinner.
Several well-known public figures attended the gathering, including actor Javed Sheikh, cricketer Ahmed Shehzad, and actors Faysal Qureshi, Imran Ashraf, and comedian Iftikhar Thakur.
During the event, Sirajia Group chief executive Dr Muhammad Nasir Rashid highlighted the organisation’s focus on improving comfort and services for pilgrims. He said the company aimed to expand its operations beyond Punjab into Karachi.
The company’s leadership also announced plans to extend premium Hajj services to Sindh as part of its future expansion strategy. Organisers said the move would bring their services closer to a wider group of pilgrims.
Group representatives credited their operational teams and pilgrims for the recognition, describing the award as a milestone achievement in their journey.
A highlight of the evening was a lifetime achievement award presented to Javed Sheikh in recognition of his contribution to Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Speakers at the event said the company remained committed to improving Hajj facilitation services and aligning with future policy changes to support pilgrims.
The gathering concluded with expressions of gratitude from organisers, who said the recognition would encourage further improvement in service delivery standards.
