Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday strongly condemned the recent Israeli aggression against Iran and extended Pakistan’s deep sympathies over the loss of innocent civilian lives.
The prime minister conveyed these sentiments during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, held on the sidelines of the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference, according to a statement from the PM Office Media Wing.
During the meeting, PM Shehbaz discussed the evolving regional situation and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Iranian government and people amid escalating tensions in the region.
Referring to his recent telephone call with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the prime minister stated that Pakistan had firmly voiced its support for Iran during the United Nations Security Council session.
