His appointment follows his election to the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, making him currently the sole Pakistani representative serving within the prestigious global institution.

From Forensic Medicine to Television Innovation

Based in Karachi, Dr. Umair Haroon originally trained as a medical doctor specializing in forensic medicine from Dow University of Health Sciences before transitioning into media production.

Over the years, he has directed and produced more than 200 media projects spanning documentaries, social awareness campaigns, historical content, and investigative programming.

He is particularly recognized for pioneering Pakistan’s first practical forensic science television series, Kadi Se Hathkadi, which combined scientific investigation with mainstream storytelling.
