Ankara: The Embassy of Pakistan, in collaboration with CarrefourSA, hosted a delightful mango-tasting event in Ankara, introducing Turkish consumers to the renowned Chaunsa mango variety. The event, aimed at highlighting the unmatched flavor and quality of Pakistani mangoes, attracted significant attention from visitors.
During the event, embassy staff engaged with attendees, showcasing the exceptional taste and exotic nature of Pakistani mangoes, often referred to as the ‘King of Fruits.’ The positive feedback and enthusiasm from the visitors underscored the popularity of Pakistani mangoes in the Turkish market. Encouraged by the event’s success, the embassy plans to organize similar events in the future.
Pakistan is a leading player in the global mango market, ranking as the 5th largest producer and 7th largest exporter of mangoes worldwide. The country produces over 200 varieties of high-quality mangoes, including popular types like Sindhri, Anwar Ratol, Langra, Maldah, Dusehri, and Fajri.
Mangoes are not only a delicious treat but also offer numerous health benefits. They are packed with essential nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin K, potassium, and folate. The high fiber content aids digestion and helps prevent constipation, while the fruit’s anti-inflammatory properties can reduce inflammation and promote overall well-being.
