Karachi: Pakistan’s electrical and energy infrastructure sector witnessed a major milestone with the official launch of GEIS Pakistan (IMS Electric Pvt. Limited) at the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (S.I.T.E), Karachi. The inauguration ceremony brought together leading corporate executives, industrialists, government officials, and members of the business community, underlining the significance of this new chapter in industrial development.

GEIS Pakistan has recently been acquired by Findtech T&D Limited, established in 2018 as an OEM-1 panel builder of GE. Under the financial strength and strategic leadership of the Elahi Group, Findtech expanded its footprint by acquiring Libra Engineering in 2023, strengthening its offerings in transmission and distribution equipment, including LV/MV panels, dry-type transformers, and busways.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Danish Ghous, CEO of IMS Electric Pvt. Limited (GEIS Pakistan), said: “This launch not only opens an exciting new chapter for GEIS in Pakistan but also reinforces our commitment to driving industrial growth through innovation, quality, and sustainability. Our focus is to revive operations to full capacity and expand production, with a vision to position Pakistan as a leading exporter of busways and dry-type transformers, particularly to GCC and Levant markets.”

The Elahi Group of Companies (EGC) has diversified investments in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing of aluminum conductor wire ropes, among others. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Danish Elahi, CEO of Elahi Group, said: “Findtech was one of our early investments that complemented our product offering. We wish the new management of GEIS Pakistan the very best as they work to revive and transform this factory, creating new opportunities for the people of Karachi.”

The launch of GEIS Pakistan signals a renewed commitment to industrial revival, sustainable energy solutions, and strengthening Pakistan’s role in regional energy markets.
