Karachi: Senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and MPA Dr. Sham Sunder K. Advani, who also serves as the Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, Mass Transit, Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control, celebrated Pakistan’s cultural and religious diversity at a Christmas event hosted by Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Anthony Naveed.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Advani emphasized the nation’s long-standing tradition of harmony among various faiths, stating that festivities like Eid, Diwali, and Christmas symbolize the unity of Pakistan’s diverse communities. He extended his warm wishes to the Christian community and acknowledged their significant contributions to the country’s development.
“On Christmas Day, not only the minority community but the entire nation shares in the joy of our Christian brothers and sisters, showcasing our collective values of unity and respect,” Dr. Advani remarked.
The event saw participation from notable figures, including MPA and PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khoro, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Waqar Mehdi, Cardinal Joseph Coates, and Bishop Mushtaq Anjum. Provincial ministers, special assistants, and members of both the Provincial and National Assemblies were also present, along with representatives from various political and social organizations.
