Algeria is set to host Global Africa Tech 2026, a landmark continental event in communications and technology, from March 28 to 30, 2026, at the International Conference Center. The event will be held under the high patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, showcasing Algeria’s ambition to become a regional leader in digital innovation and technological integration across Africa.
Minister of Post and Telecommunications Sid Ali Zerrouki emphasized that the summit reflects Algeria’s strategy for a digitally unified Africa. The event’s theme, “All Networks, One Convergence,” highlights the integration of terrestrial, satellite, and submarine networks to build a secure, sustainable communications system capable of driving economic growth and digital transformation continent-wide.
Global Africa Tech 2026 will focus on key initiatives to strengthen Africa’s digital ecosystem:
The summit is expected to attract over 5,000 participants from 45 countries, including around 50 ministers, global technology companies, and telecom experts. Organized by Algeria’s Ministry of Post and Telecommunications in partnership with Algeria Telecom, the event underscores Algeria’s commitment to accelerating Africa’s digital transformation and solidifying its position as a hub for technological innovation.
Algeria has previously hosted major technology and trade events, including the 4th Intra-African Trade Fair (September 2025) and the 3rd African Startup Conference (December 2025). Following Global Africa Tech, Algeria will host the Africa ICT Summit 2026 (April 21–23, 2026), poised to become the continent’s largest technology event. These events collectively position Algeria as a key platform for investment, partnerships, startups, and innovation across Africa.
