Highlighting the Role of Arts in Karachi

Shah underscored the transformative role of the Arts Council in redefining Karachi’s cultural landscape. Reflecting on past challenges, he said:
“In the early days, we hosted events amid severe unrest. Today, Karachi is recognized globally for its hospitality and resilience, thanks to efforts like the Aalmi Urdu Conference and other festivals.”

Anwar Maqsood, the celebrated humorist, praised Shah’s dedication, stating that he had worked tirelessly for six months to ensure the conference’s success. He added that the event serves as a platform for artists to refine their craft and promote Urdu’s versatility.

Tribute to Legends and Youth Engagement

Over 10,000 young participants have registered for the conference, emphasizing its popularity among the youth. Noor-ul-Huda Shah praised the Arts Council for bridging the gap between literature and performing arts, highlighting the deteriorating quality of dialogues in modern dramas and films.
